Anita and Joel began developing the Living Lakes in Spring 2015 as principal investigators in a Humanities Without Walls Global Midwest grant. We experimented in the studio and found that we liked how our collective chemistry made bodies move. Jonathan Girling joined us in Spring 2016 as a collaborating composer. Will Simpson joined us in 2017 as a Video Designers and projection artist for the Michigan residency and Chicago performances.
